Division 5 (Upper and Lower) Rule Change

Hat Trick Rule
You're only allowed three hat tricks in a season.

Players scoring three goals in a game (a hat trick) in three (3) games in the current season, including playoffs, will be suspended from playing in that division for the remainder of the season without a refund. If a player does get a fourth hat trick in a season, the entire team will forfeit the game in which the 4th hat trick occurred to the opposing team regardless of the score. Divisional suspensions may be extended beyond the remainder of the current season at the discretion / recommendation of CAHL.

Four-Goal Rule
You're only allowed one in a season

Players are only allowed one (1) four-goal game. If a player scores four goals a second time in one season, in a second game, the player will be suspended from playing in that division for the remainder of the season (without refund). Divisional suspensions may be extended beyond the remainder of the current season at the discretion / recommendation of CAHL.

Additional Details

It is the opposing team's responsibility to report players to the referees. Players (preferably the team captain) are to report hat tricks and any time one player scores four goals in the same game directly to the referees without causing any problems (no complaining / remain calm about it). At that time, the referee(s) will obtain the opposing player's name and they will report this to CAHL. Records are being kept to enforce these new rules.

Again, any player who violates any of the above rules will not receive a refund. These rules are in place to try to keep players from playing down and scoring at-will. We hope these new rules will make playing in division 5 a better experience and keep players from dropping down to a division they don't belong in.

Cincinnati AHL is a group of many divisions of play ability and skill levels for both Men and Women 16 years and older. We play games between Northland Ice Center, Sports Plus and Cincinnati Gardens Ice Arena. From the complete novice to more experienced players, we have the division for you! View our game of the week archives here to see what it's like! We just added a Tuesday Night Draft League which divides players up based on their skills abilities (Lower D4 or below only) and plays every Tuesday night at 8:30pm so you can plan ahead!

$1,750 (Only $1,500 if paid in full by 2nd game)
+ $35 Per Game (Referee Dues)

Your team must be paid in full by the start of the second game to receive the discounted rate.

League fees include a minimum of ten (10) games plus at least two (2) playoff games. In addition to league fees, each team is responsible for covering referee fees before each game. Actual cost per player varies depending on how many players are on your team and your team captains' payment policies. Talk to your team captain for details.
