February 2019 Draft Leagues

CAHL Draft Leagues utilize a draft process which is a process where players are placed on teams based on their skill and ability level as determined by the league manager ” The league manager will allocate certain players to teams based on a variety of factors to balance out the teams as much as possible.

MONDAY NIGHT DIVISION 5 – 4

Cost: $175 which includes 9 games (referee dues are included) and a jersey
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • You benefit from a set game schedule
  • There will only be one referee
  • It’s geared towards having fun and enjoying the sport of ice hockey
  • League starts Monday January 21, 2019 at 8:45 pm
  • All games Monday nights at 8:45pm at Sports Plus Canada Rink
 

TUESDAY NIGHT DIVISION 4 – 3B

Cost: $175 which includes 9 games (referee dues are included) and a jersey

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • You benefit from a set game schedule
  • There will only be one referee
  • It’s geared towards having fun and enjoying the sport of ice hockey
  • League starts Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 9:45 pm
  • All games Tuesday nights at 9:45pm at Sports Plus Canada Rink

  • For players in Division 4 Lower to 3 Lower ability & skill levels
  • The draft skate assigns players to teams based on skill & ability for a stronger guarantee that teams are evenly balanced
  • Great for brand new or returning players
  • Must be 16 years or older

  • It’s geared towards having fun and enjoying the sport of ice hockey
  • Draft Skate is at Sports Plus Canada Rink Tuesday November 20, 2018 at 9:45pm (SP Canada Rink)
  • ALL GAMES TUESDAY NIGHTS AT 9:45PM AT SPORTS PLUS CANADA RINK

DIVISION 5 RULE CHANGE

PLAYERS SCORING 3GOALS MORE THAN 3 TIMES IN A SESSION WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF LEAGUE. WHEN YOU SCORE 3 FOR YOUR FORTH TIME YOUR TEAM WILL ALSO FORFITE THE WIN OF THAT GAME.

PLAYERS WILL ONLY ALLOWED 1 4 GOAL GAME. IF YOU SCORE 2 YOU WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF LEAGUE.

IT WILL BE THE TEAM BEING SCORED AGAINST JOB TO REPORT THE PLAYER TO REF. AT THAT TIME REF WILL GET PLAYERS NAME AND REPORT IT BACK TO CAHL WERE RECORDS WILL BE KEPT TO ENFORCE THESE NEW RULES. CAPTAINS ARE TO GIVE REF NAME OF PLAYER WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. PLAYERS WILL NOT GET A REFUND!

THESE RULES ARE TO TRY TO KEEP PLAYERS FROM PLAYING DOWN AND SCORING AT WILL. I HOPE THIS RULE CHANGE MAKE PLAYING IN D5 A BETTER EXPERENCE AND WILL HELP KEEP PLAYERS FROM DROPING DOWN TO A DIVISION THEY DON’T BELONG IN.

Fall 2018 Season Pricing

The fees per team for all teams are $2,000 if paid in full by the start of the second game + $35 per game referee dues. ($2,200 + $35 per game referee dues if not paid in full by the second game).

Note to regulars: This is the peak-season for icetime availability so we are limited to only two draft league tiers this season. We expect leagues to fill up very fast so do not hesitate to register immediately.
